Paragon Steps Into the Cloud With ThinkGrid!
August 24th, 2010 by Ken AgnetaParagon System Solutions, a Massachusetts based IT service provider specializing in businesses with 50-250 employees, is proud to announce our partnership with ThinkGrid one of the largest providers of cloud services in the world. Through this new partnership Paragon is now able to deliver to our customers affordable, hassle free IT services from the cloud. For the past six years we have been listening to the challenges of our clients. Smaller business are no less reliant on technology then the large corporations with huge IT budgets. Sadly the level of service available to the enterprise has always been financially our of reach for the small to medium business, that is until the cloud came into play.
By deploying cloud based IT solutions from Paragon and Thinkgrid, business will drastically reduce the complexity and cost of their IT, while gaining the security and reliability that had previously been reserved for only the largest of corporations with the biggest budgets. With out the risk of long term commitments and huge capital investments small to mid sized companies can now take advantage of geographically dispersed fully redundant data centers to deliver highly reliable server and desktop solutions to their employees.

March 15th, 2010 by Ken AgnetaThe Buzz these days is all around inexpensive (I guess $499 is inexpensive?) personal devices for surfing the web and reading your books and news. There are Slates and Tablets turning up everywhere and when Apple gets into the fray you know there is money to be made out there. You may even say that everyone is just trying to catch up to Amazon given the Kindle was one of the most popular gifts last holiday season. The value of these devices is questionable to business, but for the modern professional there is defiantly a lot to be had. Let’s take a look at these devices and you decide for yourself if you want to shell out another $500 of your hard earned cash on your third personal, portable device. (more…)

November 21st, 2009 by Ken AgnetaYou can’t read technology news these days without seeing “Cloud Computing” at least once. Everyone is talking about it, cloud computing companies are popping up out of the woodwork and well known products are re-branding themselves as “Cloud Services”. Its not really surprising once you consider that in a May 2008 report Merrill Lynch estimated that 12% of the global software market would move into the Cloud Services sector, and Gartner has simultaneously predicted a 3.8% drop in tech revenue for 2009 while the Cloud Services market will triple from 46.4 billion last year to 150.1 billion in the next three years (source: BusinessWeek 6/09). So what is Cloud Computing and what does it mean to you, the small business? (more…)

November 12th, 2009 by Ken AgnetaI have always been frustrated with the lack of a good tool to take notes with. My hand writing is so bad even I can’t decipher it later so paper and pen is out. I type a lot faster then I write, so it would seem like the PC would be the way to go. The problem was I could never find a good piece of software for note taking. (more…)

November 9th, 2009 by Ken AgnetaHello Everyone!
It’s been a long time coming, but I have finally gotten Paragon’s blog up and running. We went with Wordpress, as it seems to be the standard out there and we are very happy with it. The hardest part was setting up our theme, or the look and feel of the blog, but once that is done everything else is easy as pie (although, from a cooks perspective pie is not really all that easy, but I digress). Wordpress is a great tool and its free, you really can’t beat it. If you are interested in getting your own blog running, please contact us today and we will set you up right away. It won’t hurt, I promise.
We will be posting to the blog pretty heavily in an attempt to keep you all informed on the latest tips, tricks and tools to make your technological life better. We will be talking about the latest trends in small business computing as well software and tools to simplify or enhance the daily lives of today’s small business owners and employees. Coming up will be articles on Evernote (my favorite new software) , Cloud Computing and its effect on Small Business and OpenEMM a free Email marketing tool that will save you thousands over Constant Contact or Ratepoint. So stay tuned, we’ll do our best to keep you interested, informed, and entertained.
Thanks for reading, and keep on coming back it will be worth it!
Signed..
